Gemma Merna, 40, was best known for her role as Carmel McQueen on the hit soap between 2006 and 2014.
She took to her Instagram page as she was treated to a night out to see a play called, Two Of Us.
The show was written by her friend and former co-star Barry Sloane who once played serial killer Niall Rafferty in Hollyoaks.
As such, she also got some of her other friends and her fellow long-time McQueen family colleagues to accompany her.
Leah Hackett – who played Tina Reilly – organised the trip which also included Hollie-Jay Bowes and James Sutton who played John Paul.
As the group posed together, the actress wrote: “It was incredible—the writing, the acting, the direction, and the conversation between them both really resonated with me.
“It made me reflect on life and how the things I think and believe have changed over time as it did with them.
“It just goes to show that as we grow, we change, and so do our relationships and friendships. What I loved most was that, through it all, there was still love between them.
“Thank you, @missleahhackett, my friend of many years, for treating me to this for my birthday!
“And how amazing to reunite with some of my old Hollyoaks TV family: @holliejay_bowes and @thejamesutton. It brought back so many memories 😍.”
The star then teased that the group may have thought about getting the band back together again for another reunion project.
She continued: “We were all laughing because imagine if we all went on a podcast and talked about our time together on the show.
“It would probably get canceled with some of the stories we have.”
She added: “What a time in our lives, and it was so lovely to come together and support our TV brother @barrypaulsloane.”
