Hollyoaks confirms major Prince and Dilly betrayal next week
The exes have unfinished business.
Hollyoaks has confirmed that Prince McQueen and Dilly Harcourt will share a kiss next week – with Zoe Anderson catching them in the act.
Prince and Dilly have history together, and they were in a relationship before the show’s time jump.
But Prince slept with his brother Hunter’s girlfriend Zoe shortly before Hunter died, which resulted in Zoe falling pregnant with Prince’s baby.
Dilly discovered Prince’s betrayal, but they managed to move on, and the couple got engaged. However, Prince and Zoe then kissed in the hospital after the birth of their baby.
When the show returned after the missing year, Prince was now in a relationship with Zoe, and the happy couple soon got engaged – with little explanation for why it didn’t work out with Dilly.
But Dilly – along with Jez and Liberty – has now moved in with the McQueens temporarily, which means the exes will now be living together.
Dilly has expressed concern that things might be awkward, and sure enough, next week she and Prince have a tense encounter in the kitchen.
John Paul is keen to make his partner Jez feel at home, so he organises a big lunch for everyone, complete with lots of alcohol.
As the group continue drinking, the day takes a dramatic turn when Zoe walks outside and is shocked to discover Prince and Dilly kissing.
At home, Zoe is devastated by Prince’s betrayal and gives him her engagement ring back, suggesting that the wedding is off – but Prince insists that he doesn’t want to call off their nuptials.
Later, Dilly finds Zoe upset and packing up her stuff, and she urges her to give Prince another chance following their drunken mistake. Will she be able to forgive him, or are Prince and Zoe over for good?
During a chat with Digital Spy back in September, actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer predicted a situation like this, suggesting that Prince and Dilly have unfinished business.
“I think Prince still has a lot of feelings for Dilly,” he said. “And I feel like in the future, Prince might actually cheat on Zoe with Dilly. I think if he didn’t get Zoe pregnant, he would still be with her.”
