Hollyoaks star totally transformed and worlds away from Cindy months after TV exit
Former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has unveiled a drastic new look, just three months on from her Cindy Cunningham exit.
Steph, 46, appeared in the Channel 4 soap intermittently for almost three decades between 1996 and 2024.
The actress was full of emotion as she spent her final day on set, having been included in the large number of cast that were axed from the serial ahead of a huge revamp, which saw a reduction of episodes and a UK-first time jump.
Cindy and her brother Tom (Ellis Hollins) made a quick escape after learning the truth behind Dave Williams’ (Dominic Power) identity.
As the notorious gangster ‘Blue’, he plagued Warren Fox’s (Jamie Lomas) life for weeks over the summer, kidnapping his children and forcing him to confess to the murder of his mother.
After Dave pulled a gun on the siblings, Cindy whacked her husband over the head with a stapler before they both fled.
Desperate to depart before she found herself in more danger, she resolved to stay with older sister Jude in Spain – with Tom agreeing that it would be best for him to move on too.
Now, Steph has shared a haircut transformation on Instagram.
Shortly after filming her last scenes, she had her blonde bob snipped into a pixie cut, and now she’s revealed she’s gone ‘Over to the dark side’, after dying it brown.
The new era of her life has also seen a marriage to her partner Tom Brookes, when the two decided to turn a holiday into a last minute ceremony on a Maldives beach.
Stephanie revealed that she and Tom walked hand in hand down the aisle to the Disney song Love Is A Compass.
Stephanie and Tom first got engaged in 2021. At the time she revealed they got engaged after just one year of dating as her caption read: ‘And on the 365th day he asked me to be his wife. He’s the one. @tomtbrookes.’
This isn’t the first time that Stephanie has been down the aisle as her character in Hollyoaks was married a whopping SEVEN times!
Stephanie was previously in a relationship with Dan Hooper for five years, who was the father of her younger daughter Lexi.
