HOLLYOAKS has aired a horror shooting as part of the soap’s Christmas Day drama.

The dramatic scenes began as Grace (Tamara Wall) and Freddie (Charlie Clapham) attended the village’s Christmas carols.
During the event, Grace noticed an unseen person was pointing a sniper at Freddie.
She stepped in front of her husband and, in a dramatic twist, wound up being shot.
Will Grace be okay – and who was the person responsible?
Freddie and Grace tied the knot earlier this year.
However, recent scenes have seen Freddie grow closer to Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) – who has been battling bowel cancer in a hard-hitting storyline.
An already suspicious Grace picked up a voicemail left by Mercedes and deleted it.
Freddie snuck off to see Mercedes while he and Grace attended Misbah and Donny’s Christmas party.
Although she initially told him to go away, Freddie came back.
The mechanic admitted that he was in love with her and they shared a kiss.
Freddie suggested they run away somewhere Grace couldn’t find them.
They booked a romantic cottage break and woke up together on Christmas Day.
Having officially begun their relationship, Freddie started making plans to leave Grace.
Freddie planned to make Christmas normal for Curtis (Reuben Shepherd) and Lexi (Marnie Fletcher) before making his exit.
Meanwhile, Grace’s half brother Rex (Jonny Labey) found her upset.
She confided in Rex about her belief that Freddie went to be with Mercedes.
After getting the all-clear from Misbah, Mercedes readied herself to leave the village.
While Grace avoided a conversation with Freddie by using the Christmas carols as a distraction.
