HOLLYOAKS has revealed the identity of Ethan Williams’ killer after a shocking confession.

Ethan (Matthew James-Bailey) was pushed off a balcony to his death on his wedding day in October after a row with his bride Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).

Residents in the Hollyoaks village are convinced it was Sienna who pushed him after learning he got Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) pregnant and hide it from her.

However, Monday’s episode revealed it was her grandmother Martha (Sherrie Hewson) who committed the murder.

Martha has been experiencing forgetfulness and is being taken care of by Sienna.

But Martha got spooked by the note she left herself in her compact mirror that read: “I killed Ethan”.

When she repeated her words that she killed Ethan to Sienna, but she dismissed it and firmly corrected her.

Aware of her grandmother’s emotional turmoil, Sienna confessed that she was the one responsible for Ethan’s death, taking ownership of the situation in a shocking twist.

Meanwhile, Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) is desperate to get justice for her cousin Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) and get her abuser Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) arrested.

Mercedes stormed into the police station, demanding Abe be to locked up.

However, DI Banks (Helen Kay) dismissed her claims, stating that no crime had been committed, and ultimately sent her away.

This left Mercedes frustrated, until Sienna revealed that Martha witnessed Abe putting Cleo’s body in his car.

Mercedes urged Martha and Sienna to go to the police station to report what she saw.

But a confused Martha ended up admitting that she killed Ethan instead. What will happen to Martha? Can Sienna help her?
