Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has been playing with fire since Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) arrived in Emmerdale and now Kim Tate (Claire King) is set to learn a shocking new truth about the affair.
The pair of scallywags quickly embarked on an affair when Joe showed up at Home Farm, even sleeping together while Dawn’s husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) was at the hospital taking care of their sick son Evan.
Dawn knew it was wrong though couldn’t keep her hands off Joe, but then she thought her time had come when she learned Kim had bugged Joe’s bedroom. Charity had stumbled across the recordings and in an instant the secret was no longer secret.
Fearful of what would happen if Kim found out, Dawn began testing her. For a while, all seemed alright and then…Kim revealed she knew it all.
And yet despite all of this, Dawn can’t keep away from having a taste of the Joe pie.
Not even the fear of losing her entire family will make her stop. Not even upon learning Joe seemed to have a painkiller addiction, or the fact he’d sooner throw her under the bus than give in to Charity’s demands.
In fairness to Joe, he’s given Dawn a few opportunities to back out, but she’s so far refused.
But Joe is a master of manipulation and is keeping Dawn right where he wants her.
Billy is starting to notice something is up too. He’s feeling left out in the cold by a distracted Dawn and turns his attention to viewing Manpreet’s online profile.
Kim meanwhile is thrown through a loop after a conversation with Dawn – she is still solidly into Joe and has no plans to turn away now. What will Kim do with this knowledge?
