Hollyoaks will revisit Ro Hutchinson’s bullying storyline ahead of his tense sentencing ordeal.
Over the past year, Ro has been subjected to severe transphobic bullying at the hands of Arlo Fielding. Arlo’s bullying began with cruel pranks and nasty remarks, later escalating into horrific online abuse and physical violence.
Recently, the teenager decided to carry a knife to protect himself against the bully. However, in a tense struggle between the pair, Oscar Osborne was accidentally stabbed, and Ro was charged with assault by the police.
In a heartbreaking storyline, Ro contemplated suicide but thankfully called an LGBTQ+ helpline where a volunteer worker managed to talk him down. Meanwhile, Arlo later admitted to his awful behaviour and apologised for his actions.
In scenes that will air next week, Tony receives a message that Ro’s sentencing has been brought forward and will take place the very next day.
Worried about their son’s mental health, he and Diane support each other as they share the news. But how will Ro react?

Meanwhile, Arlo seemingly tries to make amends with the Hutchinsons, following his apology to Ro last month. Ahead of the court sentencing, Marie brings Diane flowers, telling her that Arlo sent them. But will the gesture be accepted?
