Helen Flanagan ‘sad’ at major life change after ‘heavy few years’

Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, 34, has expressed her sadness at a major life change after suffering a ‘heavy few years’.
The Rosie Webster star is set to move house following her split from footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair, downsizing from her current eight bedroom property in Bolton.
Helen and Scott split in November 2022 after a 13 year relationship, just months after revealing that they had set a wedding date.
The actress has had a tough time of it since the break-up, as she admitted on The Declutter Hub podcast.
Speaking to hosts Ingrid Jansen and Lesley Spellman, Helen explained that while moving house would be difficult, but she is ready for a fresh start.
‘We are selling the house now which will be nice to have a change. Because I was with Scott for so long I was used to moving house a lot (because he is a footballer) so it’s normal for me,’ she said.
‘I could now never stay in one place for too long I don’t think. I like a change, I love it.
‘It makes me sad that I am going to be leaving this house soon because I have put so much effort into it. I put loads of my savings into making it look really beautiful. It’s eight bedrooms which is hard to keep on top of – it’s a lot.’
Though Helen is looking forward to starting fresh, she admitted that it will be a struggle to get used to the change.

‘When we move I will struggle to downsize – I don’t want to not sound down to earth. But it will feel weird. It will be more manageable for me.’
She went on to admit that she isn’t sure where she will move to next, revealing that she’d love to live in London but worries about the cost.
‘I don’t know where I want to live next. I’ve always wanted to live in London but there is such a price difference there. But it would be amazing for work and I do want a change. It’s been a heavy few years for me so it will be a lovely fresh change.’

She went on to reveal that her current home had been bought for her by Scott as a gift, and that she has plenty of happy memories of living there with her three children, Matilda, Delilah and Charlie.
She explained that they had previously moved around a lot because of Scott’s job, so it was a ‘big deal’ to have lived in the family home for four years.
‘We were renting and then to move into this home it was so nice to have that family home and obviously it didn’t go how I wanted it to go but it’s still been nice to have the family home,’ she said.
Helen also revealed that new boyfriend Robbie Talbot is from Liverpool, so she hasn’t ruled out moving there.
