Coronation Street confirms death tragedy as police make breakthrough in new spoiler videos
Coronation Street serves up quite a few unexpected developments next week, as confirmed in my brand new batch of spoiler videos, with a villain thought to be dead while a much-loved resident is laid to rest.
The villain I’m referring to is none other than Joel Deering (Calum Lill), who leaves Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) a voicemail, indicating that he’s going to take his own life.
DS Swain (Vicky Myers) is convinced the message is a goodbye but Dee-Dee is not so sure, but they’ll soon get answers either way when Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) gets involved.
Elsewhere, the residents of the Street pay tribute to Paul Forman (Peter Ash), as he’s laid to rest in an emotional service. Afterwards, a rave is organised on the cobbles in his memory.
Grab the tissues, it’s going to be an emotional one.
For a first look at what’s to come you needn’t wait until Monday (September 30), as I’ve got three brand new preview video clips to tide you over until then!
Monday September 30
Dee-Dee plays a voice note from Joel aloud for DS Swain, who reckon that it’s his way of saying goodbye, questioning if he might have taken his own life.
Refusing to believe such a thing, Dee-Dee speculates that Joel is simply playing them. Kit, meanwhile, arrives at the station, having tracked down Joel’s last known location.
Wednesday October 2
A very unique car is chosen to transport Paul’s coffin to the church as his loved ones gather outside the funeral home to pay their respects. Billy begins the funeral proceedings as an emotional Gemma and Bernie watch on.
Friday October 4
The rave in memory of Paul gets underway on the Street, with Dev and Bernie’s outfits receiving compliments from those in attendance.
Summer reveals that Billy will be ‘down in a bit’, but she seems uncertain about such a thing. Will Billy be able to face the rave? Or will it prove too much for him?
Coronation Street airs these scenes w/c Monday, September 30 from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
