Coronation Street lines up another dramatic week, as confirmed in my new spoiler pictures, with word of an unexpected death sending shockwaves through the cobbles.
DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), fighting her feelings, tells Carla Connor (Alison King) that she’s simply not ready for a relationship after Becky.
Following the admission, Carla heads back to the factory, where she’s left in serious danger as she discovers the business being ransacked, with one of the perpetrators attacking her.
The businesswoman is left unconscious and later is taken to hospital, where Lisa sits by her bedside, desperately hoping that she’ll pull through.
Will Carla be okay?
Elsewhere on the cobbles, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) tells Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) he’s got a plan to break the news of their relationship to Leanne (Jane Danson), arguing that – once they come clean – they should go on holiday to allow Leanne ample time to process everything.
Toyah insists that they wait until after Oliver’s memorial and the trial.
When Leanne presents her with a rose bush and suggests they plant it next to Oliver’s tree in memory of Rose, Toyah is left touched. However, Leanne later sees the holiday booking on Nick’s laptop!
Whether or not she finds out the truth during the week in question remains to be seen as she receives a very different shock in subsequent scenes when the police arrive to break the news that Les Battersby has died.
It’s going to be an emotional one, that’s for sure!
