Another Walford goodbye looms in EastEnders next week, previewed in Metro’s weekly gallery above, with new pictures confirming how the legend that is Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) contemplates a fresh start.

Picking up shortly after the events of this week, upcoming scenes will see Sonia remaining steadfast in her decision to disown Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

If you’re thinking she’s being a bit harsh given all the B has been through you’re certainly not alone but thankfully our Son soon sees sense.

Bianca suffers a panic attack after being accosted by so-called ‘fans’ of her contribution to the Coma Killer podcast. Sonia witnesses the incident and swoops into action, rescuing her beloved sister.

As the siblings head to Harry’s Barn for a drink, an overzealous fan appears to be watching from afar, leaving Bianca spooked. The man in question’s identity, however, appears to be of importance and he later arrives at No. 25.

Sonia is subsequently left reeling and ponders a decision that could change her life forever.

Just who is the mystery man? And what’s more, will his unexpected presence prompt Sonia to leave the Square once and for all?

Over at the Slaters, Lily’s (Lilia Turner) behaviour proves a cause for concern. Jean (Gillian Wright) steps in but Lily continues to lash out and smokes weed with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James).

Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) wellbeing is the subject of much concern as grief continues to consume her and when Sonia gets wind of her plight, she pays Stace a visit, with the two supporting one another in their time of need.

Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), meanwhile, returns home from her holiday and she’s livid upon learning that Zack Hudson (James Farrar) is training Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).

With the new Mitchell matriarch having claimed a life before, I’d say it’d be wise to be afraid Zack. Very afraid!
