EastEnders star’s ‘heart is full’ as he welcomes second child with adorable name

Former EastEnders star Amar Adatia has become a dad for the second time.

Amar played the role of Jags Panesar from 2019-2020. He was brother to Vinny (Shiv Jalota), Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) and Kheerat (Jaz Deol), and was often seen trying to prove himself to their mum Suki (Balvinder Sopal).

Jags left Walford in 2020 after being wrongly arrested. He had started a relationship with Habiba (Rukku Nahar), something Suki didn’t approve of, so she framed her son for a robbery and attack on Martin (James Bye).

The brutal twist saw Jags sent to prison for four years, but he never saw out the duration of his sentence due to being killed.

After the Panesars learnt that Jags got on the wrong side of a gang in prison, Kheerat made a deal with Ben (Max Bowden) to arrange protection for him. However, during a state of rage, Ben called off the protection, which ultimately led to Jags dying.

Away from soapland, Amar has now become a dad to another little girl. He welcomed his first daughter Aliana in December 2021, and has now confirmed the name of his second born, Arella.

‘Full heart’, he wrote in the caption. ‘Welcome to the world Arella Adatia’.

Not much is known about Amar’s private life, as he keeps the identity of his partner hidden.

Jags’ ex-partner Habiba looks after their son Tye away from Albert Square. The young lad visited the Panesar family towards the end of last year, but it was amid a plan involving Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).

Nish organised a visit for Tye in an attempt to get closer to the family again. While Suki allowed Nish to be present for the afternoon, his plan did not end the way he had hoped.

Nish died back at the start of this year, when he tried to stop Suki and Eve’s (Heather Peace) wedding from going ahead.

He was pushed from a balcony by Ravi (Aaron Thiara) and died moments after.
