Horror in EastEnders as two children vanish without a trace

There’s fresh horror for Peter Beale (Thomas Law) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) in EastEnders next week, when their sons vanish without a trace.
The couple have had an eventful year so far – after Lauren gave birth to their son Jimmy, she began to worry that her drug addiction could have lasting impacts on his health.
It soon transpired that the baby is visually impaired, a revelation that completely rocked their world.
Peter wondered how they would be able to care for him, and whether their relationship would be able to go the distance. When Lauren almost relapsed, he began to seek custody advice.
She turned to old flame Zack Hudson (James Farrar) for support, and the two kissed. This knowledge has been kept under her hat ever since – but that all looks set to change in upcoming scenes.
Having reunited, Lauren looks to Peter for reassurance concerning Jimmy’s diagnosis.
It seems the two are still struggling to find their new normal, while also parenting 9-year old Louie (Jake McNally).
Peter is struggling to settle Jimmy, and is surprised when Jay Brown’s (Jamie Borthwick) guitar manages to soothe him. Inspired by the music, he asked Jay to coach him on how to play.

During their lesson, Jay advises his mate to look ahead to his future with Lauren and their children, and things seem to finally be back on track.
She organises a picnic in the Square gardens, unaware that mother-in-law from hell Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has witnessed her hugging Zack in the moments prior.
She becomes adamant that Lauren is cheating, and decides that it’s time to confront her.
The family roll out the blanket for their lunch, with Lauren and Peter deciding that now is the right time to tell Louie that Jimmy is blind. It goes surprisingly well – until Cindy marches over with ex-husband Ian and makes her accusation.
A guilt-ridden Lauren is forced to admit that she’s kissed Zack.
Later in the week, Peter starts work on the fruit and veg stall and hides away from speaking to his shamed fiancée, who is heading to the hospital for Jimmy’s gene test results.
There, she is told that the child’s blindness hasn’t been caused by her opioid use, but rather by a genetic mutation.
Back in Walford, trouble is brewing as Peter confronts Zack and deals him a punch. Lauren comes home and a huge argument breaks out.
When they go to find their sons, they realise that both Louie and Jimmy are gone and a frantic search ensues.
Will the boys be ok?
