Danny Dyer ‘lined up’ for Celebrity Traitors as bosses lock down dream signing
After Traitors bosses struggled to bag Danny Dyer for the first series of Celebrity Traitors, the EastEnders star reportedly wants to be involved in the next series

EaseEnders star Danny Dyer is reportedly lined up to take part in the second series of The Celebrity Traitors. It has been reported that the actor turned down the role for the first series, but, after seeing the ‘fun and games’ last year, he now wants to get involved.
The first series, won by Alan Carr, instantly became a hit with viewers following on from the success of the regular show, which is continuing to take in millions of viewers every episode. According to a source, the 48 year old turned down the part last year and decided not to join the celebrities, but is now “all set to join filming up in the Highlands later this year.”
A source said: “Danny was always top of The Celebrity Traitors wish list but had zero interest until seeing the fun and games last autumn. As soon as his tune changed, it was all systems go”, reports The Sun.

It has been reported that bosses couldn’t lock down Danny for the first series but, after he revealed he was enjoying watching the show, he has agreed.
Describing Danny as ‘gold’, the source continued: “Danny is a reality TV booker’s dream signing and will be incredible value, as he’s naturally funny but in a totally different way to Alan Carr. Bosses don’t want to repeat the same formula and he’ll be absolute gold.
“As we saw with Daisy May Cooper for series one, things can change at the last minute, but Danny looks all set to join filming up in the Highlands later this year.”
Danny has already spoken about his desire to be on the show, and more importantly, take on the role of a Traitor.
Talking on the Live and Let Dyer podcast, he said: “It’s quite a simple game. I thought it was too complicated but it’s actually just about people manipulating people and a lot of lying. If you’re a Faithful, it’s hard, you’re trying to overact that you’re a Faithful and it backfires on you.
“So if the money’s right, I might get involved in the next series. I think I’d want to be a Traitor, there’s triple bluffs, double bluffs — it’s more fun to be a Traitor, you’ve got a job.”

A This Morning icon is also said to be top of the BBC’s list for Celebrity Traitors. In November last year, Alison Hammond revealed she would be a Faithful if she were ever on the show, and it appears that this could soon come into play.
Reports claim that the telly star, who also fronts The Great British Bake Off, could be set to find herself in the Scottish Highlands for the second series of the BBC programme.
