IN OR OUT? EastEnders star’s future confirmed after fans worried they’d secretly quit soap

This cast member cast doubt on their future leaving fans worried

EASTENDERS fans can breathe a sigh of relief over the safety of one character – after the actor was confirmed to have signed on for at least another year.

Isabella Brown has been playing troubled youngster Lexi Pearce since 2018, but left fans worried last year when she disappeared from screens.

However, now the character is back – and it seems she’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

The 13-year-old’s drama school KA Arts has confirmed that she’s signed on to remain as Lexi for a while longer.

“We are so proud of our incredibly talented Isabella, who has been confirmed to continue playing the role of #Lexi in @bbceastenders for the 8th consecutive year,” they wrote on Instagram.

“Isabella is heading into an extremely busy filming period, yet is still committed to her training and school studies.

“Hard work and commitment is key. It’s all in the training.”

The character of Lexi was introduced back in 2012 as the daughter of Lola Pearce-Brown and Ben Mitchell, born as the result of a one-night stand.

While Lexi has only just hit her teens, she’s already been central to a string of devastating storylines including a kidnapping plot, a legal custody battle and, most notably, the death of mother Lola to brain cancer.

Despite her personal turmoil, Lexi has proven to be extremely compassionate, developing a close relationship with her granddad, Phil Mitchell, as well as Billy and Honey Mitchell.

Through them, she grew to know and befriend Phil’s old pal Nigel Bates, who has been suffering from dementia and has now been moved into a care home.

Thanks to Lexi, he was able to repair some of his troubles with estranged daughter, Clare Bates.

But it looks like not everything will be rosy for Lexi going forward. This week, she says she feels ill – with those around her worrying she’s actually hiding something and is avoiding school.

Before her death, her mum Lola made videos for her to watch when she was feeling low, and she’s been relying on them more lately – saying they give her comfort during hard times.
