Exit story confirmed for Emmerdale favourite in early ITVX release

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) has made an important announcement to son Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) in Emmerdale, ahead of a huge new storyline for him.
Paddy has been concerned for his dad in recent weeks, due to his sudden change in behaviour.
In an attempt to help Bear, Paddy and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) gifted him an old bike. The plan was for him to keep busy and do it up, but they didn’t consider what a nightmare it would be for Bear to leave spare parts all around the house.

Mandy and Paddy then made an agreement with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that Bear could fix the bike at his garage. He did exactly this, but then snapped at Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) unnecessarily, leaving Paddy really worried.
In tonight’s episode, Paddy was once again left taken aback by his dad, who had some news. He revealed that he’s going to get his bike fixed so he can go and see an old wrestling friend in Ireland. Paddy liked the idea, but was very surprised when Bear said he’d be gone for 2-3 months.
Pondering over the fact that time away from the village might be good for his dad, Paddy put aside his worries and bought Bear a travel book ahead of the trip.
Bear was very grateful, but Paddy did find it hard to hide the expression on his face shortly after, clearly convinced that something was going on with his father.
This development comes ahead of a new plot for Bear, which will see him disappear from the village for a short period, and then return a completely different person.
Given the trip to Ireland is a couple of months, it certainly suggests this is the start of that narrative.
Revealing more, producer Laura Shaw said recently: ‘He’s going to go off screen for a little while and go missing, and when he comes back, what you’ll see is a very different Bear in a really different situation and we’re all going to be watching saying “what the hell has happened here?”.’
