Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) returns to the Emmerdale village soon, and he’s got some pretty big news.
Aaron and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) have been on holiday in a little cottage. They decided to depart for a break from family drama, but mentioned to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) there is a possibility they might move away permanently.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Aaron heads back to the village and confirms plans to move into John’s childhood home with him.
Bit weird if you ask us, but given John’s desperation to move on from the crimes he’s committed in the Dales, it’s no shock he’s managed to convince Aaron this is a good idea.
At the house, John becomes determined to make Aaron completely dependent on him. He chooses to spike some alcohol and when Aaron drinks it, John feels satisfied things are working in his favour.
The backdrop to this is that Aaron starts to become suspicious about what his husband could be up to, as Danny Miller told us.

‘His behaviour changes and he becomes a bit erratic. He’s going out all the time and he’s out for these long runs. Aaron knows he’s used it personally as an excuse in the past when he wants to get away, and he’s wondering what he’s struggling with.
‘He puts two and two together and starts to work out that maybe Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) and Robert (Ryan Hawley) are right [about John].’
‘He really wants to put his blinkers on, keep his eyes closed and just head for what he thinks is the love of his life,’ he explained. ‘Or he’s trying to make it out like that. Since Robert’s come back it’s been a bit harder for him to believe in that, hence him cheating on John.
‘What you have to remember is that, during all this, it’s Robert at the end of it – and that’s his genuine, true love.’
Back in the Dales, Chas does her best to support Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) as it suddenly hits her that her marriage to Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) really has ended.
There’s also more trouble for April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), who gets into danger when a drugs drop off goes wrong.
Also, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) has a terrible realisation.
He has been working as a volunteer for a mental health charity for a little while now, and has unknowingly spoken to John about his ever growing list of problems.
Is Paddy about to work out who’s on the other end of his messenger line?
