Emmerdale star Danny Miller has fuelled the ongoing theory about Aaron Dingle’s new relationship.

Recently, it was confirmed former Coronation Street star Oliver Farnworth has been cast as John Sugden. His relationship to Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is currently unknown, and will arrive in the village in the coming months.

Discussing his arrival to the show, Oliver said: ‘I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that. I’m looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team.’

Dubbed ‘brooding and mysterious’, John is also set to ‘catch the eye of an unsuspecting resident’, and many fans of the ITV soap think this resident will be Aaron Dingle.

To further add to this theory, actor Danny Miller recently teased John’s arrival and said it will be ‘interesting’ for Aaron, given his past relationship with Vic’s brother Robert.

‘There’s a Sugden coming in’, he told the Mirror at this year’s Radio Times Soap Awards.

‘With the history that Aaron has with Robert, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with them. It’ll be an interesting few months for sure.’

Ryan Hawley is best known for playing the fourth incarnation of Robert Sugden in the ITV soap for five years from 2014. He took over the role from Karl Davies.

Aaron and Robert were torn apart back in 2019 when their love story ultimately ended in tragedy after Ryan made the decision to leave the show.

His final scenes saw him jailed after he was arrested by the police, turning himself in for the attack on Lee Posner, who had raped his sister Victoria.

You can see Ryan Hawley in the current series of Casualty. He portrays Jamie Cleveland, a member of the board at Holby City Hospital who knows Cam Micklethwaite (Barney Walsh).

Elsewhere, new pictures of Oliver Farnworth filming as John have confirmed a dramatic storyline in the form of a barn fire.

John is seen carrying Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) from a burning barn on the set of the ITV soap in Yorkshire.

In scenes also set to air this autumn, Ruby can also be seen covered in dirt and soot.

As filming continued, two vehicles were spotted carrying Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Caleb Milligan (William Ash) and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). They arrive just as new face John emerges from the flames.

It is said that Cain was then heard shouting for wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) as he made a run for it into the barn. The explosive scenes are thought to form the ongoing feud between Ruby and Moira, leaving us wondering if either of them will survive this ordeal.
