Curtis Pritchard’s ‘GCSE grade quality’ Hollyoaks cameo re-emerges as he joins Love Island All Stars
With Curtis Pritchard returning to our TVs once again as he heads back into the Love Island villa, it has not taken long for one of his most iconic moments to resurface.
Yes, we are of course talking about his appearance on Hollyoaks with his brother AJ.
You will likely remember that the pair landed a guest stint on the Channel 4 soap in 2021 as dancing twins Marco and Jacob, who were determined to bring down dance teacher Trish Minniver (Denise Welch).
However, their time on the show went on to be defined by one particular scene, with their acting skills causing it to go viral online.
It saw Curtis’ character memorably ask ‘How’s Trish?’ as the brothers caught up with each other in a kids’ playground to plot against their rival.
The clip has now re-emerged in light of Curtis being announced for the forthcoming series of Love Island All Stars, where he will attempt to find romance in the villa once again.
Take a trip down memory lane and watch the clip for yourself in the video above.
Last year, AJ and Curtis addressed the viral moment during an appearance on the Straight To The Comments! podcast.
AJ said: ‘I’ve never been on a soap and I actually did watch Hollyoaks when I was younger. I’ve never understood soap stories changing so quickly. Now I understand it.
‘We went on, we had a whole script that we’d learnt… then they went, “Okay, we’re going to change every scene.’ I was like: “how can you have a storybook that changes fluidly as you move?” It was hilarious. I loved it.’
Curtis, meanwhile, agreed with comments surrounding he and his brother’s acting ability, branding it ‘GCSE grade quality’.
‘Our acting on that was GCSE grade quality,’ he said. ‘We were ultimately thrown into the deep end, that bad.’
Curtis’ return to Love Island comes five years after his first appearance, where he memorably had a romance with Amy Hart.
However, it all ended in tears after the infamous Casa Amor twist, and resulted in her leaving the villa.
He then coupled up with Maura Higgins, who he finished the series in fourth place with, and the couple went on to have a relationship outside of the villa.
