Hollyoaks to air heartbreaking Diane and Ro rift after tragic mistake
A huge argument unfolds.

Hollyoaks is set to air a devastating row between Diane and Ro Hutchinson after the teen jumps to the wrong conclusions.
He wrongly assumes that his mum is drinking again and lashes out, but will this wreck their relationship beyond repair?
“Diane has supported Ro through some very tough times recently,” says our insider, “but Arlo’s bullying has made things more difficult than ever. Both mother and son are pushed to the edge next week, and an honest mistake leads to fireworks.”
With Ro’s court case for Oscar Osborne’s stabbing fast approaching, Diane is worried about her son and confides in her ex-husband Tony about her fears.
Later in the week, Diane helps out Misbah Maalik by clearing out her fridge – with Donny Clark recovering in hospital after the events of this week.
But Ro appears just as Diane grabs a wine bottle from the fridge, and he assumes that his mum has fallen off the wagon once again in her battle with alcoholism.
With Ro accusing his mum of drinking, a tense argument breaks out between the pair as they blame one another for the messy situation they are currently in.
Hurt by this altercation, Ro seeks comfort from his friend Kathleen-Angel McQueen, and the friends continue to grow closer.
Kathleen-Angel has some wise words and advises Ro to try to make amends with his mum. But sadly, their meet-up is interrupted by Arlo Fielding…
“Arlo isn’t happy when he spies Ro and Kathleen-Angel looking close,” our source explains. “He feels jealous that Ro has a true friend, and he sets out to ruin this sweet moment. Arlo decides to intervene and cruelly insults both teens.”
He doesn’t give up easily, as later in The Dog car park, Arlo sees Ro and Kathleen-Angel laughing together, undeterred by his previous attack. He cleverly waits until his mum Marie is out of earshot, then he launches a horrific transphobic attack on Ro, while also mocking Kathleen-Angel.
Ro’s ordeal seems far from over, so will he make up with Diane – and will he tell his mum about Arlo’s latest abuse?
