Hollyoaks has confirmed that Freddie Roscoe will propose to Mercedes McQueen next week, but it won’t go smoothly.
Freddie admitted last year that he’s always been in love with Mercedes, despite being married to Grace Black at the time.
Grace learned about this and got her revenge by getting Mercedes sent to prison, but now that Mercedes is free, Freddie is with her officially.
In scenes set to air next week, Prince will help Freddie plan a surprise proposal, but there’s going to be a twist as things take a turn.
Later on, Nancy Osborne offers some reassuring words that strike a chord with Freddie. What will he decide to do?
In a few weeks’ time, Mercedes will be reunited with her evil son Bobby Costello, but he’ll have a brand-new face.
Digital Spy exclusively revealed this week that Waterloo Road actor Zak Sutcliffe has taken over the role, having previously played troubled Schuey Weever in the BBC school drama.
Following his first day on set and ahead of his first appearance, he told us that: “I’m having a lot of fun with my time on Hollyoaks so far. It’s exciting to get into something gritty and complex.”
Given Mercedes’ time in prison and her ongoing battle with bowel cancer, it’s sure to be an emotional reunion, but will it be a happy one?
