Exclusive: Hollyoaks star promises “different side” of Vicky in exciting anniversary teaser

Hollyoaks star Anya Lawrence has teased that her character Vicky Grant will be quite different going forward.

Vicky has been through a lot lately, including being kidnapped and exploited by Clare Devine’s trafficking ring. Her other half Robbie Roscoe is also dead, although she’s unaware of that fact.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy at the National Television Awards, Lawrence said: “I’m never getting over it! Petition to bring back Robbie from the dead. I am not okay. I miss my castmate!”

She teased that Vicky will have a strong reaction to finding out about Robbie’s death, but it might not be a long-lasting one.

“She’s going to be devastated,” the actor teased. “But then again, it is just like another day in the village. Move on, like next!

“I think we’re going to see a different side to Vicky, which is fun. What is it, I don’t know? You’ll just have to wait and see.”

Lawrence said that the 30th anniversary will contain “lots and lots of surprises, lots of drama as per”, and that it’s a very good time to be a cast member on Hollyoaks.

“I feel like it’s a really good time to be a part of the show,” she said.

“Obviously we’ve got so much happening, so much even that we’re working on at the minute. We’re all exhausted, we’re running on fumes! But it’s such a good time to be in Hollyoaks.”

The show is also heavily hinting that Vicky’s dad Donny has a past he’d rather keep hidden, with fans convinced that they’ve worked out what it is.

Meanwhile, Lawrence has been confirmed as one of the stars of a new Come Dine with Me Hollyoaks special.
