Hollyoaks makes four major changes to killer Jez Blake plot

"What a wonderfully dramatic day this is turning out to be."

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service.

Hollyoaks has aired four major changes in the Jez Blake serial killer plot as things ramp up dramatically. Could we be nearing the end of Jez’s reign of terror? Tonight’s episode aired with the police even more convinced that Tony Hutchinson killed Bobby Costello due to John Paul McQueen’s statement, while Clare Devine and Grace Black learnt that the trafficking case against them had been dropped due to the evidence getting destroyed in a fire.

At the Love Boat, Darren Osborne asked Jez if he had seen Sienna Blake after he found out that Robbie Roscoe might also have been killed.

Wanting to keep Darren away from where Sienna and a deteriorating Ste Hay were being locked up, Jez invited him for a drink elsewhere.

They headed to The Loft, where the sisters were hosting a poker night. Clare noticed Jez’s notes had suspiciously similar markings on them.

Pulling Grace aside, she said: “My 2 million quid that went missing. See the triangles on those notes? That’s how Alistair used to identify our cash. Jeremy Blake stole my fortune.”

The game was interrupted by a drunk John Paul, who staggered in and pathetically begged him for forgiveness.

However, certain things Jez said in response triggered John Paul’s memory. Jez wasn’t only there when Bobby was murdered, but was actually the one who killed him.

Clare used the altercation to sneak away to the Love Boat to look for her money, where she discovered Sienna and Ste hostage. Rather than try and help them, she snatched the weapon that Sienna has made.

“What a wonderfully dramatic day this is turning out to be,” she said with glee before taking her leave.

Elsewhere, things were getting romantic between Cleo and Dodger Savage (Sienna’s other half and brother, respectively). As she was about to go in the shower, she openly reminisced about how she had her first kiss with Sienna in that shower — and it was the same night that Abe Fielding was killed.

Dodger realised Sienna couldn’t have been Abe’s killer and started to wonder what else she may not be responsible for.

That’s both John Paul and Dodger learning things about the recent killings, Clare setting her sights on Jez, and her knowledge of Sienna and Ste’s whereabouts.

Everything’s building up at a fast pace now, but where will things go next?
