Hollyoaks confirms Tony and Diane wedding joy – but there’s trouble ahead

Iconic Hollyoaks couple Tony and Diane Hutchinson are set to tie the knot for the second time in a joyous new story. But there are some big secrets waiting to be exposed that could ruin everything…
Tony and Diane separated during the show’s time jump and got divorced last year after the struggles in their marriage was too much to handle.
After Tony enjoyed a relationship with Marie, he and Diane eventually found their way back to one another – but when Diane discovered that he’d had a secret fling with Mercedes, things fell apart once again.
Tony has spent the last few weeks in prison for the murder of Mercedes’ son Bobby. However, it was really Jez who killed the teen, and the truth came out during Tony’s court appearance this week.

Serial killer Jez attempted to take Tony hostage, but Mercedes saved him in time, before secretly revealing that she is carrying his child.
Despite Diane previously telling Tony in prison that there was no way back for them as a couple, the situation has changed, and the pair have been pulled back together.
Having been cleared of his murder charge, Tony returns home in next week’s episodes following his traumatic ordeal behind bars.

But there’s a big surprise in store for him as he discovers that Diane has planned a romantic proposal for him!
Things don’t quite go perfectly, and the lettering on a sign comes out wrong thanks to wedding planner Peri getting involved.
The proposal itself is a success though, and Tony and Diane are soon looking towards celebrating their nuptials and making a fresh start as husband and wife again.

However, Mercedes is still lingering in the background, and Diane remains blissfully unaware that she is pregnant with Tony’s baby.
What Tony doesn’t know is that he is also the father of Nancy’s child Morgan, after a shocking one-night stand five years ago. Plus, there could be another secret from Tony’s past waiting to be revealed…
For now, Diane prepares an engagement toast in The Dog flat, but will she and Tony manage to get married successfully again – or will a host of obstacles stand in their way?
