Hollyoaks cast celebrate star as he welcomes first baby with adorable picture

Former Hollyoaks star Elliot James Langridge is celebrating the birth of his first child.
The actor, 38, appeared as student Dave Colburn in the Channel 4 soap for a year from 2009.
He also made an appearance in digital spin-off Hollyoaks: The Morning After the Night Before that explored the dangers of binge drinking.
To coincide with the drama, the characters even had their own Bebo pages. Very of the time.
Reckless Dave trashed The Dog in the Pond while the Freshers Ball was taking place, was accused of spiking a fellow student’s drink, and was blamed for causing a car crash.
The character was later made homeless and then fled the village for a new life in Mexico.

Quite the right in just fourteen months!
Now the star, who has also appeared in Vera and The Bill, has taken to Instagram to announce the birth of his son with partner Kate Owen.
Sharing some snaps from St. Peter’s Hospital in Surrey, he wrote: ‘5th + 17th = 22nd.’
The black and white photos ranged from Kate on pain relief to her cradling the newborn, and latterly him holding their son in a car seat.
A number of famous faces flocked to the comment section to share their support, with former Hollyoaks star and X-Men actor Scott Adkins commenting: ‘Congratulations both.’
Slow Horses star Sam Hazeldine added: ‘Congratulations!!!’

Since leaving the soap, Elliot now hosts his very own podcast, Life In Film.
The series sees the former actor interview producers and creators of some of Hollywood shows and movies.
Familiar faces return for Hollyoaks’ 30th
A number of former Hollyoaks stars are reprising their roles for the soap’s 30th anniversary later in the month.
While Elliot isn’t part of the line-up, fans can expect to see Jamie Lomas return as Warren Fox, Natalie Casey as Carol Groves, James Redmond as Finn, John Pickard as Dominic Reilly and Jet2 advert voice Zoë Lister as Zoe Carpenter.
There’ll also be a much anticipated cross-over with Brookside, as both shows were created by screenwriter and producer Phil Redmond.
