Dominic Reilly returned to the village for half-brother Tony Hutchinson’s stag do.
John Pickard, who plays Dom, is the real-life younger brother of Hollyoaks stalwart Nick Pickard, who has played Tony since the beginning.
Taking to TikTok, the soap’s account shared a clip showing Tony and Dominic being reunited.
While Tony has drinks with old pal Finn (James Redmond), Dominic sneaks up behind and sets off a party popper.
Wearing an orange bucket hat, he asks his half-brother: “Anyone seen a condemned man?
Visibly shocked, Tony asks “Dom?” out loud, before the two men go in for a hug.
Addressing Tony and the others, Dominic then says: “It’s good to see you all.
“It’s amazing bruv, even when you mess up like you did with Diane, you always somehow manage to put things right.
“Let’s hope the good luck doesn’t run out soon, ey?”
John originally bowed out from the role of Dominic in November 2010.
He would later reprise the character in 2013, during the sixth series of Hollyoaks Later.
Elsewhere, John starred as David Porter in the BBC1 sitcom 2point4 Children.
The premise followed a London family who are beset with bad luck and bizarre happenings.
This ultimately programme lasted for eight series, between 1991 and 1999.
Earlier this year, The Sun revealed Hollyoaks would be welcoming back three iconic stars for its milestone 30th anniversary.
This included John, James Redmond as Finn as well as Natalie Casey as Carol Groves.
Taking to Instagram, James, 53, shared a photo of him reuniting with his former co-stars Nick and Natalie.
He captioned: “Over the moon to be back for the @hollyoaksofficial 30th Anniversary episodes, next week on @e4grams.
“Working with the brilliant @nickpickardofficial, @johnnyinapickle, @natalielauracasey & Jimmy McKenna again was a dream come true.“
