7 new Hollyoaks anniversary spoilers as shocking final trailer is released
A week the village will never forget...

Hollyoaks‘ 30th anniversary week is almost upon us, and there really is so much to look forward to: Tony and Diane’s wedding, Clare and Jez’s showdown and Darren’s deadly plan, plus a special Brookside crossover episode that looks to both the past and the present, and the return of Hollyoaks Later.
It has just been announced that next week, there will be a change to the way you can watch these huge episodes. While you can usually stream Hollyoaks each morning from 7am, in the anniversary week each episode will air simultaneously on E4 and streaming service Channel 4 at 7pm – so all the twists and turns will stay tightly under wraps until the evening!
For now, Hollyoaks has released a final trailer for the anniversary week, which you can watch above. There’s a lot to digest so we’ve broken it down for you, with seven new spoilers from this dramatic clip:
1. Jez escapes death
Clare and on-the-run serial killer Jez have been scheming and planned to cause chaos at Tony and Diane’s wedding. While Clare initially wanted to target the teens to avenge her corrupt copper husband DI Banks’ death, the gang’s Liverpool trip put a spanner in the works, so the duo decided to target their loved ones instead.
However, Clare later had a change of heart, looking to the future and realising that she didn’t want little Tori to see her as a villain. She backed out of the plan, before setting off a gas canister and locking Jez in a storage container to stop him once and for all.
We left Jez is a very perilous situation, but the trailer shows that he somehow manages to get out unscathed – and as armed police surround the container, he may have already escaped…
2. Clare and Jez take to the skies
Having decided against crashing the wedding, Clare looks to escape the village once and for all. She waits at the airfield for Tori to be brought to her and looks to make her getaway via a small aircraft, things inevitably don’t go to plan…
Two figures, potentially Rex and Froggy, can only watch from the ground as Clare takes off. But her face drops when she realises that the pilot is none other than Jez, and she is in grave danger. She may not be the only character in trouble, as the wedding guests are later seen running for cover when the aircraft loses control. Jez himself promises a “bumpy ride”, but how will these dramatic scenes unfold?
3. Tony and Diane get married
The centre of next week’s episodes is the wedding of reunited Tony and Diane in The Dog. Diane has only just got over the fact that Mercedes is pregnant with Tony’s child, but she doesn’t yet know that he’s expecting another baby with Marie – and they BOTH don’t know that Tony is also the dad of Nancy’s daughter Morgan!
Though the spoilers about this wedding have remained vague, we do know that it definitely won’t be smooth sailing. But what this trailer suggests is that Tony and Diane do successfully get married, with the happy pair sharing a kiss at the end of the aisle in front of a happy congregation (and Mercedes…)
4. Tony’s secrets are revealed
But this is Hollyoaks, and no one can stay blissfully happy for too long, can they? Tony and Diane are later seen having a heartbreaking confrontation, with Tony reduced to tears as Diane exclaims, “You’ve had a baby with your best mate’s wife!”
This means that not only does Diane learn about her husband’s betrayal, but Tony himself discovers that he has another child that he never knew about. Darren and Nancy both look tense as the wedding takes place, but who will end up spilling the beans? What does the future hold for Tony and Diane? And what about Darren’s decision to pay Warren to kill Tony?
5. Tom and Peri are loved up
It’s been a rocky road for childhood sweethearts Tom and Peri, since they recently rekindled their romance. Tom was heartbroken that Peri slept with his arch-nemesis Clare in a shock twist, but she managed to make amends and stopped him from leaving the village.
Peri decided to show her commitment to Tom and unexpectedly proposed to him at Tony’s stag do. But Tom didn’t happily accept and instead ran away, leaving Peri on one knee.
While this is another obstacle for the young couple, next week they have happy news to share, and the trailer shows Tom and Peri giddily walking through the village with a bottle of bubbly in hand. Does Tom change his mind, and are there more wedding bells on the horizon?
6. Donny’s demons are revealed
Detective Donny’s visit to Brookside Close in Wednesday’s crossover episode is one of the most highly anticipated elements of this busy anniversary week. As the dust settles on the dramatic events in the village, Donny heads in a taxi to the iconic location – admitting in the trailer to Sinbad that “the demons have finally caught up with me, and it’s time to face them.”
There have been some major theories about Donny floating around in recent weeks, but are any of them right? What has he been hiding, and why does he need answers?
7. Ste is out late at night
In the hugely exciting hour-long return of Hollyoaks Later next week, a number of thrilling plots will unravel after dark. One of these involves Warren and Donny, with Warren unexpectedly helping Donny to flee Brookside Close after the events of the crossover.
But as the pair are involved in a tense car stunt, Ste is also seen standing in the middle of the road in these scenes. Kieron Richardson exclusively told us earlier this year that he would be involved in the late-night episode, but just how does Ste fit into this mysterious story?
