Hollyoaks airs important Darren and Tony flashback as the truth is revealed
Did he really try and kill his best friend?
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service.
Hollyoaks has aired a major Darren Osborne and Tony Hutchinson flashback, as the ‘Who shot Tony’ storyline takes some more dramatic twists and turns.
Following the revelation that Tony is Morgan’s biological dad after a one-night stand with Nancy, Diane has been suggesting integrating Morgan into her and Tony’s side of the family.
Darren was dead set against the idea, and his aggressive reaction has Diane suspicious he could have shot Tony.

In tonight’s episode, tensions were still high between Diane and Darren at the hospital, with Ant and Dee Dee recording the confrontation.
They filmed Darren grabbing and pushing Diane and took the footage to the police station to show Dodger Savage, who told them: “This only proves Darren has a temper, not that he attempted to murder Tony.”
Dodger asked if they had anything more concrete to go on. Dee Dee then spoke up and said she saw Darren shoot her dad.
Darren was soon arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and was interrogated by Dodger, who got increasingly emotional as he talked (from personal experience) about the lack of justice for victims.
When Dee Dee heard about the arrest from a devastated Nancy, she broke down and admitted to Diane that she had lied.

“I didn’t see him shoot Dad. I didn’t see anything,” she said.
Back at the station, Darren admitted what happened on that fateful day to Nancy… as viewers saw a flashback of Darren threatening Tony with the gun he found at the Dog, but Darren couldn’t go through with pulling the trigger. Instead, he dropped the gun and walked away.
The mystery of who did shoot Tony is still up in the air, but it looks like we won’t be waiting long to find out. The episode ended with a doctor stating that they are going to bring Tony out of his coma tomorrow. Will he remember who shot him?
