Hollyoaks airs shock Tony Hutchinson death twist in new health story
Tony ends up back in the hospital.

Hollyoaks has aired a shocking twist in Tony Hutchinson’s new health story as part of the ongoing ‘Who shot Tony’ storyline. Tony has been in a coma since he was shot on his wedding day last month, though his shooter is yet to be unveiled.
After it was revealed that Tony is Morgan’s biological father following a one-night stand with Nancy, Darren has been Diane’s number one suspect due to his aggressive behaviour.
When Dee Dee accused Darren of shooting her dad, he was arrested and the police told Darren they had a witness. But Dee Dee later admitted to Diane that she had lied.
In a flashback of what happened that day, Darren threatened Tony with a gun, but he couldn’t go through with it and he was seen dropping the gun, meaning the mystery of who did shoot Tony remains.
In tonight’s episode, Tony woke up in the hospital confused at what had happened. After Diane asked him if he knew what happened on their wedding day, Tony said he couldn’t remember.
Following his arrest for shooting Tony, Darren was released and he returned to the village.

When Darren arrived at The Dog, Jack said he didn’t think it was a good idea for Darren to be there, but Darren refused to leave, declaring he’d done nothing wrong. “I’ve got nothing to hide,” he said, while Jack asked if he knew who the supposed witness was.
Overhearing their conversation, the weight of her false statement proved too heavy for Dee Dee to bear so she headed to the station to retract it. She called Diane on the way to inform her of her decision, saying: “Mum. I can’t keep lying, I’m going to the police station to tell the truth.”
Diane managed to stop Dee Dee at the station, insisting that Darren was still guilty even if Dee Dee hadn’t seen him do it. Diane told her daughter that continuing with the lie would help Tony get the justice he deserves quicker. “He needs us now more than ever,” Diane said. “So please, don’t do this.” The plea worked and Dee Dee headed to the hospital with her mum instead.
