SoapsHollyoaks Hollyoaks to air shock Donny disappearance as Misbah discovers the truth

Hollyoaks airs a heartbreaking development for Donny Clark and Misbah Maalik, suggesting that a reunion between them may not be in the cards. In scenes next week, the Channel 4 soap will see Donny leave Hollyoaks behind. The policeman jumps into the back of his Brookside pal Sinbad’s taxi, wanting to get away from the village.

This twist follows Donny and Misbah’s breakup over Christmas after she discovered he lied to her and almost slept with a sex worker.

After Donny leaves, the police speak to Misbah and Vicky as they suspect that he could be involved in wider corruption.

Misbah finds out he spent the night in a cell and remembers the hidden money she recently uncovered.

Meanwhile, Donny has been struggling with the aftermath of a sexual assault and only recently revealed to Dodger Savage that Sully had raped him.

Things between Donny and Dodger remain tense after Donny killed Griff following the revelation he’d sexually assaulted Dodger in Liverpool. Dodger feels that Donny stepped in and took away his only chance at getting justice.

Amid Donny’s ordeal, the Hollyoaks trailer for the new year offered a glimpse of hope for him and Misbah when his daughter Gemma Johnson offered to help them.

After Donny was revealed to be Mick Johnson, a Brookside character who had faked his own death, Hollyoaks has often crossed over with the cancelled Channel 4 soap.

In new scenes, Gemma is keen for Misbah to get to know a different side of her dad, and invites her for a meal with Donny, Sinbad and Tinhead where they tuck into homemade pizza by ‘Mick’. But is Misbah ready to forgive him?
