Hollyoaks to revisit harrowing exploitation storyline as Rex delivers big news

Hollyoaks is set to revisit last year’s harrowing exploitation storyline in new scenes. The shocking plot saw teens Frankie, Dillon and Vicky exploited in an operation involving Rex and his late mother Grace Black. Villains including corrupt detective Alistair Banks and eventually Grace were both killed off – and it looks like Rex will go some ways to try and make amends for his actions.

In new scenes airing next week, Rex gets Frankie, Dillon and Vicky to come to the garage, revealing he plans to give them Grace’s inheritance cash. This delights the teens, though the next day they return very hungover, having spent some of the money over the course of the night.

Back at home, Misbah tries to get Dillon and Vicky to use the inheritance more wisely by investing it.

“Frankie, Dillon and Vicky are still coming to terms with what they went through last year at the hands of Grace and Rex,” our Hollyoaks insider said.

“Rex still feels terrible about his horrific actions, and knows that while nothing can undo what happened, he can help them to rebuild their lives by giving them this large sum of money.”

Meanwhile, following her exit as Grace, actor Tamara Wall expressed some regret that her character and Rex didn’t get time to repair their relationship before she died.

“Also I think it’s Grace Black, she probably would have ruined it somehow anyway,” she noted.

“She’s got a habit of messing things up – not purposely, it just kind of happens. At the end of the day, loads of people die in Hollyoaks – who’s to say in four years’ time I won’t return?”
