Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson announces birth of baby with soap star partner
Nikki Sanderson, who starred in Hollyoaks, has announced the birth of her baby boy with fellow soap star Anthony Quinlan.
The couple confirmed her pregnancy last December, writing: ‘Merry Christmas from the 3 of us.’
Tonight, they shared a sweet photo of the newborn baby.
Taking to Instagram, Nikki, 42, and Anthony, 41, wrote: ‘Happy due date little man.
‘You blessed our lives a few days earlier than expected and filled our world with so much joy.
‘Daddy and Mummy love you so much Son.’
Followers flooded the comments with well-wishes.
Former Strictly pro Gorka Marquez said: ‘OMG 😍 BEST NEWS GUYS.’
While Jay Howard from MAFS UK gave her ‘congratulations’.
Former Emmerdale actress Charley Webb also joined in with the adoration: ‘All that hair 😍 just like Buster was. Welcome to the world little one.’
The pair didn’t share the baby’s face, just showing a black-and-white side profile of the newborn with cursive writing next to his turned head reading: ‘Hello World.’
Nikki and Anthony opened up about their pregnancy journey to OK! Magazine earlier this year.
The couple had been trying to conceive for two years and started taking steps towards IVF.
They told the publication: ‘We’ve had a lot of ups and downs in our journey to becoming parents, and it’s been really hard on us.
‘But now, waiting for our beautiful baby to arrive, it’s just incredible. Every person trying to conceive has their own journey, and, sadly, some are easier than others. But being where we are now makes all the ups and downs worth it.’
Last year, Nikki quit her role in Hollyoaks as Maxine Minniver after 12 years on the soap. She was also known for her roles in Coronation Street and Heartbeat.
Anthony, who now runs an online PT and supplements business, used to star in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale.
The two have been dating since 2022. Speaking to The Sun around the time they went public, Anthony said: ‘I’ve always fancied her. She’s mega hot, right?’
