Today Niamh, 27, took to Instagram to share their happy news with fans, posting photo booth strips from a day out with her new fiance and flashing her ring.
She captioned her upload: “Lucky, lucky, lucky… I’ll NEVER change my name though. Best weekend ever.”
Fans rushed to comment on the engagement, with one writing: “A gorgeous couple!”
And someone else said: “This is so cute.”
Niamh starred as Juliet Nightingale in Hollyoaks while Angus portrayed villain Eric Foster.
She revealed their relationship in a sweet New Year post in January 2023, writing: “A year of growth, learning, kindness, loneliness, boundaries and acceptance. Ending in a better space than it began.”
Angus also reflected on their romance at the time, posting: “2022 saw me move to the other side of the country, take the biggest step in my career, a relationship end and a relationship start.”
It comes after fellow real-life Hollyoaks couple Nikki Sanderson and Anthony Quinlan welcomed their first child.
Anthony, known for playing Gilly Roach in the show, took to Instagram to share a snap of him carrying their son home from the hospital.
The proud new father said: “He has no idea yet… but he’s already made all our dreams come true.”
And Nikki, who played Maxine Minniver in the soap, praised him in the comments, writing: “The best daddy.”
