Ste Hay starts to believe his husband James Nightingale is still alive in Hollyoaks scenes set to air next week as he begins spying on Rex Gallagher to find out the trurth

Hollyoaks regular Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) is convinced James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) is still alive and tries to find evidence next week.

Ste trawls online for clues about James’ death and tells Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) that he believes his husband isn’t dead and survived the car explosion last year.

Leela insists that Ste’s mind is playing tricks on him and that he should instead be focusing on his son Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis), who needs him to step up for him after being released from the young offenders unit.

Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) assures the family that they have Ste back on track after his wild ideas that James is alive but at the garage Rex Gallagher (Jonny Lavey) is packing up tools and a balaclava. Ste spies on Rex as he searches for clues about James and is onto something untoward going on.

Elsehwere. Marie Fielding (Rita Simons) enjoys a date with Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) and goes in for a kiss taking Tony by surprise because he feels weird in The Dog flat, despite being divorced. Marie worries its too soon.

The pair later settle on a morning of tea and cake but chemistry soon flies between the pair. It’s all fun and giggles until Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) arrives back early from her test.
