Hollyoaks fans have been left shocked to see Jez Blake actor Jeremy Sheffield appear in a Natalie Imbruglia music video.
Former Neighbours actress Natalie left her Beth Brennan role after two years in 1994 to move to London and pursue a career in the music industry.
Her first single, Torn, was a cover of an earlier Danish hit by Lis Sørensen. Released in October 1997, the tune peaked at number two for three weeks on the UK Singles Chart.
The song sold over one million copies in our country, becoming one of the best selling singles of the 1990s. The following year, it reached No. 1 in the US.
Torn’s accompanying music video featured a fixed shot of an apartment, showing Natalie and her ‘boyfriend’ engaging in a number of conversations. As the bop comes to a close, we can see crew members dismantling the walls – revealing the apartment to be a studio set on a soundstage.
The actor playing the boyfriend was of course Jeremy, who played the regular role of Alex Adams in Holby City for three years.
He later joined Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as evil Patrick Blake, who was killed off in 2016 by his own granddaughter. The character returned earlier this year as a vision in Dilly Harcourt’s (Emma Johnsey-Smith) mind.
It was later revealed that he was her estranged father – making Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) her sister.
However, in an even bigger twist, Jeremy returned to the show as Patrick’s identical twin brother Jez.
