Hollyoaks has confirmed that Freddie Roscoe and Grace Black are to split next week, after the truth is revealed about Lexi’s injury.
During the show’s missing year, Freddie’s daughter Lexi suffered a head injury which led to her developing epilepsy. Freddie feels guilty about this, because that evening he left the kids in the house to support Mercedes in the early stages of her cancer.
But Grace knows the truth about what happened that night – Lexi got injured because her son Curtis pushed her.
She revealed this secret to Mercedes, who then threatened to tell Freddie the truth unless she helped her acquire some illegal cancer drugs.
Lexi is currently in the care of Robbie, after Freddie was arrested for assaulting his brother. Robbie has banned Freddie from seeing his daughter, but in scenes that will air next week, Robbie finds out that Vicky has been letting Freddie see Lexi.
Robbie is furious, but as he takes aim at Freddie for causing Lexi’s epilepsy, Curtis suddenly blurts out that Lexi didn’t fall, he pushed his stepsister.
Freddie soon realises that Grace knew and hid the truth from him. He turns on his partner, as well as Mercedes, for keeping the secret to herself. While Grace says that they can try to get Lexi back, Freddie is adamant that it is too late, and their relationship is over.
Meanwhile, Vicky tells Robbie that she allowed Freddie to see Lexi because she wanted to hurt him, after learning of his role in the robbery. Wanting to make amends, she asks him for another chance.
Vicky wants to fix things in their relationship, and it looks like Robbie does too, as the couple look set to get back on track.
Robbie eventually admits that he thinks they have a chance to make the relationship work, and he and Vicky get back together properly.
The truth may be out that Curtis pushed Lexi, but Robbie later tells Freddie that this revelation doesn’t matter and doesn’t change anything in terms of custody.
Later, Jack asks Freddie to help with the kids for Nancy – while hiding that Darren is still missing. While he is there, Jack gives Freddie second thoughts about shutting out Grace, reminding him that life is too short.
Will Freddie decide to give Grace another chance?
