Hollyoaks confirms unexpected and sad scenes for Lucas after Dillon split
Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) is set to endure more heartache in Hollyoaks next week following his breakup with Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass).
The teen, as viewed know, was left heartbroken when boyfriend Dillon ended things unexpectedly last month – and he wasn’t the only one, with fans devastated by the development.
Dillon cheated on Lucas with his own sister Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demircan) during the show’s ‘missing’ year. Leah subsequently gave birth, welcoming baby James, who turned out to be Dillon’s child.
Audiences are fully aware of this turn of events but Lucas remains in the dark. Last week, however, it was revealed that Lucas is aware of Dillon’s infidelity – just not who he cheated with.
The two characters have barely interacted since their sad split but next week Dillon is forced to speak to Lucas to warn him that Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) – who still believes James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) is alive – left Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) terrified.
Ste is convinced that Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) has kidnapped James and is keeping him hostage somewhere, believing his husband to have made it out of the infamous car blast.
If only!
Having manipulated Rex into thinking he’s in love with him, Ste takes the reformed gangster to Dee Valley Law next week and locks him in, demanding answers about James – now believing that Rex has killed him.
Lucas gets wind of what’s happening and makes a beeline for the law offices. He manages to get inside and pleads with his dad to come out of the building, with distraught Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) watching on from the outside.
The question is: will Lucas succeed in getting Ste to emerge from Dee Valley Law?
It’s been a tough couple of months for the teen as, in addition to breaking up with Dillon, he also served time in young offenders.
What’s more, Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) – his best friend – attempted to kiss him, which left him worried that their friendship would be affected.
They subsequently talked it out but, as viewers know, Frankie knows all about Dillon’s betrayal – so will she spill the beans? Or will Dillon beat her to it?
