Lauren picks up sinister clues as Joel’s plot is confirmed in Coronation Street

When the truth about Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was revealed to the residents of Coronation Street, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) took it upon herself to try and keep Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) safe.

After installing a tracking app on Lauren’s phone, Dee-Dee revealed she had put the same one on Joel’s device earlier that day.

She told the new mum that she’d be able to follow Joel’s movements and hopefully decrease her worry that he’d suddenly turn up at her front door.

Despite this, Joel has still found multiple opportunities to confront Lauren and leave her utterly terrified.

Lauren spends most of her time at the hospital with young son Frankie, who was only born incredibly early because dad Joel drugged Lauren with labour inducing pills. Previously, a desperate Joel visited the hospital and tried to convince a fearful Lauren that he will gain access to their son.

Coming up, the evil solicitor approaches Dee-Dee with their wedding rings. He declares that he still loves her and the rings are a reminder of everything he’s lost, which leaves Dee-Dee troubled.

In the week, Dee-Dee’s plot to destroy Joel reaches a turning point, as Lauren arrives with some news.

She reveals that she’s been following Joel on the tracking app and he’s spent a considerable time in a field, then in an industrial park and to top it off, has just transferred £5k into her account without an explanation.

He’s clearly up to something, but what has Joel got planned now?

And can Dee-Dee work out his next move in time?
