It’s all getting very messy for Hollyoaks legend Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), who finds himself torn between two men as his life continues to implode.

The chef, as viewers know, recently relapsed in the wake of son Lucas’ (Oscar Curtis) abuse, which led to him losing access to grandson baby James.

Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) was determined to help sponsor Ste on the road to recovery, even going so far as to arrange secret meetings with James.

Despite Lucas still being in love with Dillon, Ste has found himself drawn to his son’s former flame. He slept with Dillon, who is his grandson’s father, last month, a secret which he’s kept hidden from an unsuspecting Lucas for fear of how he might react.

Lucas, as audiences know, has become obsessed with winning Dillon back – but he’s resorted to some pretty shocking methods in order to do so, including cloning his ex’s phone.

Dillon wasn’t pleased when he uncovered such a thing, blocking Lucas immediately.

However, Lucas’ behaviour continues to spiral out of control, with scenes next week seeing the young chef accused of being Frankie Osborne’s (Isabelle Smith) stalker.

Ste pleads with Dillon to keep quiet about Lucas’ abuse and, as the week comes to an end, all eyes are on Lucas as his obsession spirals out of control.

What happens in the aftermath remains to be seen but Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) is back on the scene and, in an unexpected twist, he and Dillon are on the same side, as they try to help Ste see that Lucas needs help.

Despite their concern for Lucas, however, Ste and Dillon are almost caught out when Rex overhears a conversation. A case of tough love ensues from Rex, which results in Ste pushing him away.

Is this rally the end for Ste and Rex? Fans had been hopeful that once he returned to the village things would be rekindled for the pair, thus putting an end to Ste and Dillon’s romance.

But this isn’t the case after all, with Dillon on hand to comfort Ste in the aftermath of his showdown with Rex – and let’s just say that one thing leads to another!

Has Ste picked Dillon over Rex? Or is there another twist to come? And let’s not forget that James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) is alive – something which Ste is very much in the dark about – but just how would he feel to know his husband made it out of the explosion after all?

It seems Ste has a big decision to make!

Speaking to Metro last month about Dillon and Ste’s unexpected relationship, actor Nate Dass, who plays Dillon, said: ‘I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily that there are no feelings for Lucas – that it’s completely over and completely cut off – because that would be ridiculous after everything they’ve been through.

‘But as for now, he feels more for Ste due to the fact he was his sponsor – someone he could relate to and someone he could have real chats with about his problems. I think he felt that Lucas never understood him in terms of what he went through with the trafficking and the drugs.’
