Hollyoaks confirms Christmas romance for Theresa McQueen in magical new scenes

Hollyoaks has confirmed a special Christmas romance for Theresa McQueen as part of magical new scenes. The character recently returned to the village after her departure last year, coming back as part of the diamonds storyline. She’s since started growing closer to Dodger Savage again following their previous romance more than a decade ago, sharing daughter Myra-Pocahontas.
Ahead of this festive season’s special four episodes, each of which will focus on a different family on Christmas Day, more details on the McQueen special on Tuesday, 23 December have been unveiled.
During the festivities, John Paul takes responsibility for Christmas dinner as Prince gets into a panic over turkey portions.
However, Theresa is in higher spirits as she awaits Dodger’s arrival, and asks for advice from Mercedes over how to make a good impression.
Dodger arrives and misses the memo about the PJs theme, though quickly makes amends and joins in for his daughter.

Meanwhile, later on a knock on the door makes Theresa’s wishes come true. Who has arrived?
Theresa star Jorgie Porter previously teased that things end up “a bit chaotic” for the McQueen family on the big day.
“I’m sure that not everyone’s Christmas goes to plan, but I can definitely say ours is not a planned event,” she added to Inside Soap. “They’re all in a disastrous place in their own little heads…”

Speaking further about her own comeback after her maternity leave, Jorgie admitted: “It’s a shock. I’m so lucky that the fans really love Theresa, because she just leaves and comes back!
“When we did the set tours recently, loads of people came in – they were all really nice and excited to see me, and asked me questions about the diamonds and how long I’m staying. The feedback of actual face-to-face fans and online, it’s just brilliant to hear and see it!”
